A True Club Stalwart From his early days playing junior footy with Moorebank to his senior career with Campbelltown, Nick has been part of nearly 300 games across both juniors and seniors. A dependable and respected teammate, he’s known for his hard-nosed approach on the field and his unwavering commitment to the club. Off the field, Nick’s impact is just as impressive — though often behind the scenes. For years, he’s been the creative force behind the club’s social media images, graphics, and photo edits, producing outstanding work that showcases the Blues at their best. His dedication and pride in the club shine through everything he does. 🏆 Congratulations Nick on your well-deserved induction as a Life Member of the South West Sydney Blues! Your contribution both on and off the field has left a lasting mark on our club.

A Decade of Class and Commitment Balancing under-18s and first-grade footy is no easy feat — but for Hamish, class has always shone through. A silky-smooth player with the rare ability to kick on both feet, he’s a contested-ball bull who rarely loses a one-on-one. For more than a decade, Hamish has been a reliable and respected member of the Campbelltown Blues first-grade side. Even after stepping back from higher-grade duties last year to focus on family, he still managed to take home his division’s league Best & Fairest and celebrated his 200th club game in the same season. His impressive list of achievements also includes back-to-back club Best & Fairest awards in 2019 and 2020, along with Platinum Premiership glory in 2022 and 2023. 🏆 Congratulations Hamish on your well-deserved induction as a Life Member of the South West Sydney Blues! Your talent, loyalty, and dedication to the game and our club are truly something special.

A Pioneer for Women’s AFL Jess has been blazing the trail for women’s footy since 2006, when the game was part of the original SWAFL competition. Soon after, she was selected in the first ever NSW U/18 Youth Girls team, marking the start of an incredible journey. In 2011, when Moorebank entered its first ever Women’s team, Jess — a proud local — came home to lead as inaugural captain. Since then, she’s represented NSW at open age level, earned multiple club Best & Fairest awards, and was the 2019 league runner-up. With over 150 games to her name, Jess is a rock in defence — tough, skilful, and respected by all. Rarely beaten in a contest and known for her strong counter-attacks, she continues to inspire the next generation of women’s footy players. 💪💙 ✨ Congratulations Jess on your well-deserved induction as a Life Member of the South West Sydney Blues! Your impact on the game and our club will be celebrated for years to come.

A 15-Year Career Full of Highlights Over 15 seasons, he’s packed in countless achievements and memories. His journey began in 2011, winning the Apted Medal as the league’s Best & Fairest in Division 5 — an incredible feat in his very first year of AFL football. From there, he quickly became a first-grade regular and later served as first-grade captain for three years, leading by example both on and off the field. Beyond playing, he’s been a dedicated club umpire for five years and a constant volunteer whenever the club has needed support. Respected by teammates and opponents alike, he’s known for his team-first attitude, unselfish play, and leadership — qualities that have earned him the Players’ Player Award multiple times. This season, he also celebrated entry into the 200 Club, marking the milestone in trademark fashion — with a booming 60m kick from half-back late in the fourth quarter! 🏆 Congratulations on your well-deserved induction as a Life Member of the South West Sydney Blues! Your commitment, leadership, and love for the game have left a lasting legacy.

True Blue Legacy Following in his father’s footsteps at the Campbelltown club, a 15-year-old Josh began his Blues journey in the U18s, quickly making his mark. He tasted premiership glory in 2011 as an 18-year-old before moving into first grade, where he has spent the majority of his career. A rock in the backline, Josh has been the steady presence every team relies on — the kind of player who gives confidence just by standing beside you. If not for injury earlier this year, we’d be celebrating his 250th senior game in 2025. Continuing the proud O’Brien family tradition, with father Russell awarded Life Membership in 2017, Josh now joins him among the club’s greats. 🏆 Congratulations Josh on your well-deserved induction as a Life Member of the South West Sydney Blues! Your loyalty, leadership and contribution to the club are truly something to be proud of
